At Grip Active Sports, we are committed to making a difference not only through our sportswear but also by supporting the cardiac health and well-being of athletes and the wider community. We are proud to announce our ongoing affiliation with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), a UK-based charity dedicated to preventing sudden cardiac deaths in young individuals.
About Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY’s) Vital Work
In the UK, 12 young people who appear to be healthy but have undiagnosed cardiac conditions tragically die every week. CRY has been addressing this issue in the UK since 1995. They provide cardiac screening programs, fund medical research and offer bereavement assistance to families who have suffered these tragic losses. They have been able to screen more than 23,000 individuals each year and, in some cases, identify cardiac conditions that are life-threatening.

Our Shared Mission
Grip Active is a sportswear manufacturer that believes in the protection of health and performance for athletes. CRY is a great partner to help us support their mission of raising awareness for cardiac health. This collaboration stems from a common vision of creating a safe environment for young people and athletes.
Why Cardiac Health Matters
Sports and cardiac physiology exercise are important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, undiagnosed cardiac muscle conditions can cause serious problems, particularly during intense training. Research indicates that 80% (or more) of sudden deaths among young people are without symptoms. Proactive screening is, therefore, essential. CRY's innovative and refined screening criteria, like the "CRY-teria," have significantly reduced false negatives and increased screening costs.
